|
 |
Welcome!
This site is about my motorcycle. Born as a '83 Suzuki GSX 1100 EZ it is now beyond recognition. On this site I'll try to show you what I've done to the poor bastard. As time goes by, the appearance of it just keeps on changing. One thing stays the same: IT DRIVES LIKE MAD!!
I'm planning to keep this site as acurate as possible so everybody who is interrested will find up to date info here.
I hope you'll enjoy my site.

News
I had the crank welded and the nose job is finished. I also did a bit of a repaint but that is not a big succes. It looks like a kid's colourbook (the paintjob I mean). The nose is doing a perfect job:Looking agressive and rough. The aluminium teardrop plate is quite hard to weld but very easy to saw and sand in to the shape you want it to go.
The welding and trueing of the crank means that the complete crank was dismantled and rebuild again (only better). This also means that if you don't know the point to start from, you can start 180 degrees the wrong way around compared to your marking point on the crank. This automaticly means that if you're retiming the cams and ignition, that they both are 180 degrees out of timing. Instead of sucking in through the carburettors the engine then sucks through the exhaust pipes!!! And as result: IT WILL NOT START!!!
After not sleeping for a whole night I woke up my wife at 4.30 in the morning saying to her: I know what's wrong!
"You woke me up, thats wrong" she lovingly replied.
The next day I fired up my GSX for the the first time in the new setup as it is now. It started at the first turn of the starter engine and it does so every time.

Performance:
Normally a bike like this has around 100 hp. Due to a number of changes like a hot cam, open exhaust, open intake, and some minor other changes my bike produces around 130 hp and the same in DB!
LOUD PIPES SAVE LIVES!!!
The topspeed is in excess of 235 km/h and I do reach 200 km/h in 10 sec.
The torgue is wristwrenching and acceleration at all speeds is awsome. The handling is excellent but when i break hard just in front of a nice corner, the tail starts to wag. This gets heavier the more speed you get.
I replaced the shox at the rearend for longer ones so the exhaust has more room now. This also means that I do have more ground clearence in turns and I must say that that is a major improvement.

Building a new nose:
I'm trying to build a new nose at this moment and I must say that it is working out just fine. For results see my photo page.
As I mentioned before the nose is finished now.

New paint job:
The pictures you look at here are old. In the last month I thought of all kinds of new colours to spray on, but I chose a conservative dark gray.
One of the other thoughts was to make it light blue with a yellow beak. BIG BIRD !(or Pino as we know it in Holland). The yellow beak idea stayed, the Bigbird ws sent back to sesamstreet and the old dinosaur is now called DRAG-ON.
Even this name is abandonned now, it has become Hellracer. Mainly because alle my friends and colleages called the bike like that...
